It's the Brits in the Wood Christmas Special with Caroline Feraday and Claire Bullivant. We revisit some of our favourite moments on the show so far with guests such as Ross King, Leilani Dowding and Charlie Clapham. We also have a sing song with the one and only Chesney Hawkes, we discover how well Spandau Ballet’s Tony Hadley knows LA and Caroline gives Mr. C from the Shamen a run for his money singing Ebeneezer Goode…

Happy holidays everyone!

Claire Fordham is an LA based British writer, producer, journalist and podcaster who has worked for the BBC, ITN, SKY News and written a popular weekly column for Britain's top selling newspaper The Sun. Her podcast ‘The Chat with Claire Fordham’ sees her interviewing interesting and inspiring people who she says: “you may not have heard of but should.”

Her acclaimed book ‘Plus One: A Year in the Life of a Hollywood Nobody,’ inspired the mockumentary ‘The Making of Plus One’ starring Jennifer Tilly, Geraldine Chaplin and John Sessions. It tells the semi-autobiographical story of her moving to LA to live with her celebrity sister - the acclaimed singer songwriter Julia Fordham. What follows is laugh-out-loud accounts of her frequently being her famous sister’s “Plus One” – the nameless guest invited to all the best events and parties in Hollywood where nothing is too surreal.

Claire’s latest book ‘Life Lessons for Mia Rose: An Irreverent Guide to Living and Loving Well’ was inspired by the birth of her granddaughter. With love and humour in equal measure, Claire shares her experiences on her own lessons learned.

In this episode Claire chats to Caroline Feraday and Claire Bullivant about life with a famous sibling, making it as a writer, the crazy side of Hollywood and the moment she met her celebrity crush George Clooney…

Imagine spending over a quarter of a century locked up for a murder you didn’t commit. Imagine too you’re technically still only a child when you’re convicted – just 17-years-old – and the victim was your own mother.

This happened to our guest – the charismatic, handsome and inspiring Bruce Lisker. Three months shy of his eighteenth birthday Bruce was wrongly tried and convicted of murdering his own mother and forced to serve more than 26 years behind bars before evidence finally came to light proving his innocence. Evidence he had to work tirelessly and courageously compiling from his cell.

In 2009, Bruce was finally exonerated and walked out of prison into the modern world as an innocent man. He was then 44 years old and had so far spent every day of his adult life behind bars. He had to learn how to use a credit card, a cell phone, the internet…

In this fascinating interview, Bruce Lisker talks to Caroline Feraday and Claire Bullivant about life behind bars, exposing the lies and cover-ups by the LAPD and what it’s like joining an alien modern world for the first time as a fully grown man…

Thanks to a series of hugely popular productions staged by our guest Kris Lythgoe (son of Nigel - the British American Idol producer), America has now fallen for panto’s thigh-slapping mix of slapstick humour and classic fairytales. But the version which is now packing theatres in the States is a Disneyfied update featuring chart topping pop songs performed by casts including Hollywood superstars and top Broadway names.

Like his famous dad, Kris Lythgoe has the magic touch for creating and producing award winning productions such as TV’s ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ and ‘Who Are You.’  But his passion for introducing kids to the art of live theatre, is spreading across the US and this holiday season American families in San Diego, Pasadena, Laguna Beach and Houston will chiming in chorus “he’s behind you” and “oh no he didn’t” in true Brit style.

Don’t miss this informative show with Kris Lythgoe as he chats to Caroline and Claire about swapping out panto’s traditional risqué humour for American audiences, growing up with his famous dad and how his brother quite possibly invented reality TV…
